FROM BETTY'S LIBRARY

WIFE DRESSING- THE ART
OF BEING A WELL DRESSED WIFE
By Ann Fogarty

This book is fabulous! Written in the 1950's by fashion designer Ann Fogarty as a guide to teach women to dress well; especially for their husbands. Some may find the information antiquated by today's standards, but if you look past  what you perceive to be outdated information, Ann  gives great advice on the importance of always looking your best for every occasion and for the two most important people in your life; yourself and your husband. I can see the "independent" women now rolling their eyes, but if you are reading my blog you already know that I have a vintage state of mind and the books I share will support that. Some things you cannot duplicate as the roles of women have evolved alot in the past  fifty plus years (like take 15 steamer trunks full of clothes with you on your honeymoon as Anne did....or can you??? lol), but the heart of the message is timeless; always look your best for every occasion.

You can  pick up a copy on Amazon or Alibis for 11-15 dollars;
  and let me tell you, it is worth every penny!
